Registre Un Gran Nombre

Succesful online presence starts with the right domain name.

There are many places online where you can register a domain, and host your website.

ITM NetCom makes registering a domain fast, easy and value packed.  Business owners and individuals choose ITM NetCom as their "go-to" guys for anything IT related.  Our domains are packed with options such as emails, and apps such as joomla and wordpress among others, that will allow you to experience high value tools at a fraction of the cost.

There are many great options out there to choose from.  We offer you personalized service - that is how we are different.  We have been developing websites, web and email servers since 1995 and we still have our very first customer on board.

We are looking to provide you with the best possible experience when doing business in an impersonal online world.  We will work hard to earn your trust as well as to provide outstanding value in every product you obtain from us.

What do you look for when registering a  domain name?

1. Value - On average a domain may cost you anywhere from US$12 to US$36 / year for a registration.  Many companies will give you a startup package when you register your first domain.  This is great to help you get started.

2. Unique - Register a domain name that is unique to your business, easy to remember, and easy to spell out or give to someone over the phone.  This is the name that you will be known by.  Try to get at least the .com version of it and your local country's version of it.  For example .ca for Canada.  If you wish to regsiter the .net and .org variants as well, that may not be such a bad idea.

What to watch out for?

1.Hijacking - There are many ways to hijack a domain.  The most common way it happens is when "your web guy" tells you that it is necesarry to transfer your domain and hosting to them so that they can build you a website.  This is a HUGE red flag and should be avoided at all costs.  Unless you are unsatisfied with your hosting provider, or with your registrar and you have expressed this to your web designer, domain names and hosting should remain untouched.  All you need to provide is for the FTP access so that files can be uploaded to your host, and sometimes, control panel access to make final adjustments to make the site work.

2.Transfer out fees - Somentimes there are registrars that charge you to leave their company.  Yes, this does happen today.  As witth the previous point, sometimes, people want you to pay them in order to get the "authorization" code and the unlock key of your domain.  Make sure you have access to the registrar lock and the auth codes for your domains.  If you provider doesn't provide this, leave them NOW!.

3. The Fine Print - For domain registrations, the fine print should be simple.  You pay for fees for one year and your name is registered.  You forgot to renew, you pay a redemption fee to restore your domain (Sometimes pricey US$85-US$300) but you get to keep your domain.  How to avoid this? Register for five years, and don't worry about it for now

Good luck, have a look at our domain offering, we hope you find it competitive.  If you do have any questions, don't be afraid to reach out.  We are here to guide you in any way we can.
